Nights from the Alhambra was a 2006 in-concert television special, filmed on location in the Palacio de Carlos V of the Alhambra Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Granada, Spain. Featuring 94 minutes of music over four sides of vinyl, Nights from the Alhambra presents performances of 18 of Loreena’s best-loved songs including “The Mummers’ Dance”, “Caravanserai”, “The Mystic’s Dream” and “The Lady Of Shalott”, performed by Loreena and a host of musical colleagues. Mastered by Bob Ludwig and re-mastered for vinyl by Jeff Wolpert, the two-disc set was the first Loreena McKennitt live recording made available in the revived lp format. The original 2014 black vinyl run of 7,500 copies has long since been unavailable outside of the specialist collectors' market. Nights From The Alhambra was also pressed on 140g clear vinyl in a limited edition released in 2021. This new edition is pressed on 140g Mango Chutney vinyl and is packaged in a luxurious gatefold sleeve.
