Thelonious Monk - Monk Live In Paris, 1967, Volume Two [LP]

The second volume of Monk Live in Paris, 1967 completes a two-part release drawn from Thelonious Monk's November 3, 1967 performance at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. Prepared from the Monk family archive and authorized by the Thelonious Monk Estate, the recording was sourced from an archival reel discovered in France and meticulously restored.

Captured at the height of his creative powers, Monk is heard with his classic quartet bandmates Charlie Rouse, Larry Gales and Ben Riley, joined by an all-star horn section of Clark Terry, Ray Copeland, Phil Woods, Johnny Griffin and Jimmy Cleveland.

Pressed on 180 gram pewter silver vinyl, mastered and cut by Warren Defever at Third Man Mastering and pressed at United Record Pressing, in a single-pocket jacket with poly-lined sleeve and insert.
