The process of creating the song was almost effortless in the sense that many things fell into place rather quickly. The groove, the mood and the instrumentation was clear to me even before I started producing the track. I tried a bunch of different guitar melodies before I found one that felt artistically suggestive but still accessible. Sunchaser paints the notion of feeling trapped in a sort of perennial alienation towards being in the world, longing for a sense of realness that would ignite the soul with true belonging. Chasing the Sun is a metaphor for the striving towards this home of the soul.
