The Silent Boys - Lightning Bugs Are Smiling [LP]

Richmond, Virginia's The Silent Boys first formed in the mid-'80s, when Wallace Dietz fell for the jangling guitar pop of the C86 era and labels like Postcard and Factory. Reformed in 1999, the band carry that story on with Lightning Bugs Are Smiling: dreamy jangle pop, surf- and jazz-tinged lead guitar from original member John Suchocki, and songs like 'Soul Of The Sea', 'Clocks' and 'Jackie Blue'.

It's the first Silent Boys record with keyboards on every track, courtesy of Dan-O Deckelman, who also produced it. Released on vinyl LP by Shelflife Records together with France's Too Good To Be True.
