L'Étonnant Serge Gainsbourg [LP]

Serge Gainsbourg - L'Étonnant Serge Gainsbourg [LP]

L'Étonnant Serge Gainsbourg, his third album from 1961, finds the young songwriter refining the jazz-chanson style of his debut with Alain Goraguer's sharp arrangements. It's home to some of his finest early songs, including "La Chanson de Prévert", "Le Rock de Nerval" and "En relisant ta lettre", full of wit, melancholy and literary flair.

Reissued on vinyl by Universal France as part of its early Gainsbourg catalog series. French import pressing.
