Laying on New Waves: The 2000s Collection [9CD + DVD Box Set]

Peter Murphy - Laying on New Waves: The 2000s Collection [9CD + DVD Box Set]

Laying on New Waves: The 2000s Collection gathers Peter Murphy's solo work from 2001 to 2017, released in conjunction with the former Bauhaus singer. It includes four studio albums, Dust, Unshattered, Ninth and Lion, newly remastered, plus a disc of Lion remixes by Youth and Richard Thorne.

Three live releases round it out: Mr Moonlight Tour - 35 Years of Peter Murphy, recorded in Los Angeles in 2013 with Bauhaus classics such as Bela Lugosi's Dead and Stigmata Martyr; the two-disc Alive Just for Love from 2000; and the stripped-back Bare-Boned & Sacred from New York in 2016. A DVD presents the full Mr Moonlight concert. Nine CDs plus one DVD.

The set comes in a rigid bookcase-style box with an extensive hardback book: an essay by author and broadcaster John Robb, a foreword by ANOHNI, a piece by longtime collaborator and producer Youth, a new interview with Peter Murphy, and previously unpublished family photographs plus rare studio and live images. UK import.
