La Forteresse [Cassette]

Pomme - La Forteresse [Cassette]

Pomme is one of France's most acclaimed contemporary artists, a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter known for her emotionally resonant songwriting and distinctive autoharp performances. With La Forteresse (The Fortress), her fifth album, she opens a new chapter, producing entirely by herself for the first time, surrounded by her stage musicians.

Conceived as a fable in four chapters, La Forteresse traces a path of emancipation, from childhood and its inheritances, through love and its wounds, to the walls we sometimes have to break through to rebuild ourselves. Shaped between Japan, Aaron Dessner's American studio and the Château de la Haute-Borde, it draws its imagery from castles and forests, medieval mythology and the worlds of Hayao Miyazaki, blending intimate folk, piano and voice, acoustic guitars, synthesizers and lush orchestration.
