Italia Synthetica 1981-1985 (Expanded Double Vinyl Edition) [2LP]

Various Artists - Italia Synthetica 1981-1985 (Expanded Double Vinyl Edition) [2LP]

A survey of Italy's early-'80s synth underground, when the post-punk comedown drifted toward colder, machine-driven sounds in step with the synth-wave wave sweeping Europe and the UK. Neon, Der Blaue Reiter, Ein-St-Ein, Modo, Actor's Studio, Fockewulf 190, N.O.I.A. and more deliver robotic rhythms that still found their way onto the dancefloor, and many of these acts remain cult names today, especially in the US.

This expanded double-vinyl edition pairs the original compilation with a second record of bonus tracks first issued on the earlier bonus-CD edition. The set plays across three sides.
