A solo project by Michihisa Ishikawa, the alto saxophonist of THE SKA FLAMES, presents a recording—the first in about 15 years. Having performed live in their current lineup for nearly 10 years, the band has finally completed a 7-inch single－their first release, which fans have long anticipated. Truly deserving of the title “double-sided single,” the A-side features “I’ll Remember April Fool,” a cute yet somewhat wistful original number composed by Ishikawa. The B-side reimagines the classic “Africa” by Rico Rodriguez－a familiar favorite among ska and reggae fans－with an exotic arrangement unique to a sextet.
