Ideale [LP]

Die Verlierer - Ideale [LP]

When you love a band, you want two things: for them to surprise you, and to remain true to themselves. And that is exactly what Die Verlierer achieve on their third album, Ideale. They seem completely unconcerned with what might be expected of them. Big choruses, long songs, instrumental passages and more experimental moments lead the songs down unfamiliar paths. Holding it all together is the band's unmistakable sound -- a major part of their charm -- and the infectious energy that has defined Die Verlierer since their first album. For all this musical freedom, their stance stays solid. The lyrics are openly political: against greed, war and the old men in power who make decisions, cash in and leave the world with the consequences.
