High and Just Proceedings [LP]

Hypnoma - High and Just Proceedings [LP]

Finnish newcomers Hypnoma work where progressive and alternative rock meet, drawing on classic prog and echoes of Pink Floyd's spacious atmospheres while forging a heavier, more contemporary sound. Their debut, High and Just Proceedings, is four long-form pieces in no hurry to arrive, built on improvisation, dynamic contrast, repetition and release, with guitarists Aku Murtokangas and Jere Pettersson and singer and keyboardist Toni Pajari at its core.

Running just over 34 minutes, it is designed as one complete listen, from 'For Those It May Concern' to the near ten-minute 'Kurtz'. Pressed as a single black LP.
