Heteroklite Lockdown [LP]

Henri Texier - Heteroklite Lockdown [LP]

When lockdown confined Henri Texier and his saxophonist son Sébastien to the same village, they kept meeting to play simply so the music wouldn't stop. Those sessions grew into a trio with drummer Gautier Garrigue, taking on standards they had never dared touch, like 'Round About Midnight' and 'Besame Mucho', alongside older Texier pieces 'Fertile Danse' and 'Izlaz' and a new tune from each member.

Recorded live without an audience at Le Triton, it's spare, melodic music, with Sébastien playing alto alone on record for the first time. On vinyl LP from Label Bleu, with liner notes by Stéphane Ollivier.
