Frog in the Belly of a Snake [LP]

Johanna Warren - Frog in the Belly of a Snake [LP]

Frog in the Belly of a Snake is the seventh solo album from Johanna Warren and her first since stepping back from touring in 2023 for health reasons. Self-produced, it moves from full-band arrangements to stark a cappella recitation, with synths, field recordings and a 12-voice Cosmic Serpent Choir featuring Sadie Dupuis, Vera Sola and Elvis Perkins. It explores what nourishes and depletes us, chronic illness, and her turn to farming, foraging and plant medicine.
