etNOVO [CD]

Warsaw University of Life Sciences Choir – etNOVO [CD]

On etNOVO, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences Choir under Paweł Choina premieres four works by contemporary Polish composers Zuzanna Falkowska, Jarema Jarosiński, Zuzanna Koziej and Anna Maria Huszcza, each one drawing on the deep well of Polish folk tradition. Expressive choral writing meets instrumental textures, traditional white-voice singing and electronic soundscapes in songs of love, loss, displacement and old rituals.

A single CD on the Polish label DUX, performed by the choir with guest ensembles. A striking meeting point of centuries-old village song and the language of modern choral music.

Genre: Choral, Classical, Contemporary Classical.
