Diles Que No Me Maten – Escrito en Agua [Sangre Luz Vinyl]

Genre: Art rock, krautrock, psychedelic rock.

Escrito en Agua is the fourth album by Mexico City quintet Diles Que No Me Maten, recorded with producer Sebastián Rojas in Santa María La Ribera. Its art rock draws on krautrock, improvisation and Oaxacan funerary music, using deliberate space and restrained rhythms. The songs explore presence, wandering and resilience; “Hiriku” draws on José Vicente Anaya's poem Híkuri. The album is dedicated to Tunuwame and poet Mahmoud Darwish.
