EmphasYs [2LP]

Troum - EmphasYs [2LP]

For more than three decades, German duo Troum have shaped immersive drone ambient music out of the '90s industrial-ambient underground. EmphasYs grew from an idea first planted over ten years ago: build each piece around a single instrument as its center of gravity. After years of reworking, seven tracks remain, centered on electric guitar, cello, accordion, didgeridoo, acoustic guitar, zither and saxophone, each stretched and dissolved into pure texture and resonance.

Released by Cyclic Law as a double LP, giving these long-form pieces four sides of vinyl to unfold.
