Twenty years after its original release, SikTh celebrate their landmark second album with Death of a Dead Day MMXXVI – a newly remixed edition of one of the most influential British metal records of the 21st century. Originally released in 2006, Death of a Dead Day captured SikTh at their most inventive and technically fearless, combining intricate rhythms, interlocking guitars, elastic bass lines and unmistakable dual vocals with a collision of brutality, melody and experimentation. Featuring tracks including “Bland Street Bloom,” “Flogging the Horses,” “Sanguine Seas of Bigotry” and “Part of the Friction,” its influence can be heard across a generation of progressive metal bands.

For it's 20th anniversary, the album has been completely remixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood of Periphery, bringing new clarity, weight and detail to this seminal record. Having long cited Death of a Dead Day and bassist James Leach’s playing as formative influences on himself and Periphery, Nolly’s involvement brings the story full circle. Death of a Dead Day MMXXVI celebrates SikTh’s enduring legacy while offering a fresh perspective on an album that helped shape the sound of modern progressive metal.
