Widely considered one of the greatest examples of primal Grateful Dead, the February 14, 1968 Carousel Ballroom show was recorded as part of Anthem of the Sun. It includes everything that made that album, plus early versions of future classics "Dark Star," "China Cat Sunflower" and "The Eleven," and older Dead staples like "Morning Dew" and "In the Midnight Hour."

On vinyl for the first time, this 4LP set features new cover art by Zazzcorp, liner notes by Nicholas G. Meriwether, Plangent Processes transfers and mastering by Jeffrey Norman, produced by David Lemieux.
