Injury Reserve - By The Time I Get To Phoenix [LP]

Injury Reserve began as a trio of rappers Ritchie With a T and Stepa J. Groggs and producer Parker Corey. Their mixtapes Live From The Dentist (2015) and Floss (2016) earned them underground buzz, and they capitalized with their eponymous debut album in 2019.

The group's momentum was put on hold when Groggs tragically passed away in June 2020. By The Time I Get To Phoenix was largely completed with his contributions before his passing; Ritchie and Corey took a year to finish the record. The title nods both to their hometown and to a song that has been covered countless times, in line with the group's ethos of pulling from many styles and eras of hip hop and running each through the Injury Reserve lens.
