2026 marks the 10 year anniversary of Dawes’ fifth full length record, the optimistically titled We’re All Gonna Die. To commemorate the occasion, the band will be issuing two distinct, limited-edition pressings. WAGD found the band at a crossroads dealing with difficult situations while continuing to reach for the silver lining. Dawes branched out sonically from their roots, angling for a bigger rock sound. The results are self-evident, with live staples such as “Roll with the Punches” and “When the Tequila Runs Out”. WAGD marked the first time the band had worked with long-time friend and Grammy-winning producer Blake Mills. Their creative spark together birthed one of Dawes’ most celebrated records.
