Franco Ambrosetti - Voices [LP]

On Voices, Swiss flugelhornist Franco Ambrosetti looks back to the early '60s: early Miles Davis, the Hi-Lo's, Ray Conniff and jazzy film scores with sophisticated vocal arrangements. Alan Broadbent, Scott Colley and Peter Erskine back him, but the real stars are a five-voice ensemble led by Manhattan Transfer co-founder Janis Siegel, and John Scofield joins on three tracks including Jobim's 'Dindi'.

From Miles's 'Four' to Bill Evans' 'Waltz for Debby', it's mature, laid-back and elegant. Released on vinyl LP by Enja Records.
