Simon Popp is back on Squama with his fourth album Trio. At its heart, Trio is a work about collaboration, playfulness and unification, a sonic equivalent to the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi. Popp and his collaborators Flurin Mück and Sebastian Wolfgruber take a similar approach: three distinct drummers, three different temperaments, three personal styles fused into a single expressive instrument.
