The Serpent and the Rainbow (The Film Mixes) [2LP Vodou Blue Vinyl]

Brad Fiedel - The Serpent and the Rainbow (The Film Mixes) [2LP Vodou Blue Vinyl]

Varèse Sarabande brings back a cult-classic horror score: Brad Fiedel's music for Wes Craven's 1988 voodoo-zombie thriller The Serpent and the Rainbow. This Record Store Day release marks the vinyl debut of the score's film mixes, the versions heard in the movie itself.

Fiedel, best known for The Terminator, builds a creeping, atmospheric score of pulsing synths and ritual percussion, from the Main Title through Buried Alive, Nightmare and Battle for Souls to the End Credits Theme.

It's pressed on two "Vodou Blue" LPs and housed in a foil-stamped gatefold jacket with liner notes by Randall D. Larson.
