The MPS Years Complete Box [17CD Box Set]

Oscar Peterson - The MPS Years Complete Box [17CD Box Set]

A limited-edition 17-CD box set gathering every recording Oscar Peterson, the "Emperor of the Keyboard" and Canadian jazz superstar, made for Germany's prestigious MPS label. It covers the entire "Exclusive For My Friends" series, sessions not included on his albums, his albums from the late 1960s to the early 1970s, and recordings with The Singers Unlimited and Herb Ellis.

The LP-size deluxe box has a hinged lid and artwork featuring a rare photograph of Peterson taken in Japan in the 1970s by Katsuji Abe, the first Japanese recipient of the Milton Hinton Award for jazz photography. A 20-page booklet reproduces the jackets of all his MPS albums in full color alongside Abe's Tokyo photographs. A Japan-exclusive production, limited to 300 numbered sets.
