Structures From Silence [Sea Blue & Ultra Clear Swirl LP]

Steve Roach – Structures From Silence [Sea Blue & Ultra Clear Swirl LP]

First released in 1984, Structures From Silence is the record that made Steve Roach a cornerstone of American ambient music. Where most electronic music of the day leaned on sequencers and rhythm, its three long synthesizer pieces hover and drift, and the half-hour title track has been called about as good as pure ambient synth music gets. This 40th anniversary remaster brings out even more space and detail.

This fourth pressing is limited to 500 copies on 140-gram galaxy swirl vinyl in sea blue and ultra clear, with a four-page insert of history and photos.
