Santamental [CD]

Steve Lukather - Santamental [CD]

Santamental is Toto guitarist Steve Lukather's only holiday album, first released in 2003 and out of print for years. Lukather is giving all of his artist proceeds from this reissue to the Ed Asner Family Center.

The guest list is full of guitar heroes: Eddie Van Halen on "Joy To The World", Steve Vai on "Carol Of The Bells", Slash on "Broken Heart For Christmas" and Michael Landau on "Look Out For Angels". Edgar Winter plays sax and sings, and a vintage Sammy Davis Jr. vocal is woven into a big-band "Jingle Bells". The band cut it in six days on analog tape, with jazz-rock instrumental arrangements and the odd vocal tune.

This reissue comes on CD.
