Mark Menzies – Richard Cameron-Wolfe: Breathless / Unsilence [CD]

The music of American composer Richard Cameron-Wolfe centres here on the 'Breathless' Cantata, a seven-movement cycle for voices and guitars that weaves Sufi, Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Jewish and Hindu mystical texts into a meditation on the unity of spiritual thought.

Around it are personal solo and chamber works for strings and piano, from the joyful defiance of Lilith to Iris - scuro/chiaro, delivered with conviction by Mark Menzies and a strong cast of singers and players. Single CD.

Genre: Chamber Music, Classical, Contemporary Classical.
