Music for Two Films About Water [CD]

Liz Harris – Music for Two Films About Water [CD]

Liz Harris, best known as Grouper, has worked closely with film since she began performing, including a near decade-long collaboration with Paul Clipson. Music for Two Films About Water collects two recent scores for short films about water: Tanja Engelberts' We Exhale, told from the perspective of the dammed and polluted Rhône, and Takashi Makino's Constellation, where images dissolve into mercurial water textures.

Her accompaniment layers mellotron, tape loops, Wurlitzer and field recordings into two long, immersive pieces. CD on Kranky.
