Love in C Minor (50th Anniversary Edition) [Crystal Clear Apple Green LP]

Cerrone - Love in C Minor (50th Anniversary Edition) [Crystal Clear Apple Green LP]

Marc Cerrone's debut album grew out of the anything-goes spirit of the '70s and his discovery of the new disco sound coming out of New York. Built around the kick drum, the title track runs sixteen minutes across a full side, with women's voices simulating sex. French labels turned it down, so Cerrone released it himself with a provocative cover. A box of copies shipped to New York by mistake reached radio and club DJs there, and the record became a hit on the city's disco scene, catching the attention of Ahmet Ertegun.

This 50th anniversary edition is pressed on crystal clear apple green vinyl, with "Black Is Black" and "Midnite Lady" on side two.
