Meagan Milatz – Innig [CD]

Canadian pianist Meagan Milatz explores the intimate world of German Romanticism, centered on one of Robert Schumann's most fascinating works, Kreisleriana, Op. 16. Around it she gathers music written between 1835 and 1839 by Robert Schumann, Clara Wieck and Frédéric Chopin.

Milatz plays an 1835 Conrad Graf pianoforte, very similar to the instrument Clara and Robert Schumann owned in the late 1830s, so the music sounds much as its composers would have heard it. On CD from ATMA Classique.

Genre: Classical, Piano, Romantic.
