THE BACILLUS BRAINS (Japanese Encephalitis) disbanded in 2010 with the release of their final album. Their classic mini-album "HONG KONG CAFE," which left a lasting mark on Japanese rock history, is now being re-released with additional tracks. Japanese Encephalitis was formed by hardcore all-stars EXCLAIM, CHARM, and SLIGHT SLAPPERS, with the concept of performing Japanese-language rock music. Their activities extended beyond the underground scene, leading to a major label debut and a breath of authentic rock music in Japan. Among their legacy, the highly popular mini-album "HONG KONG CAFE" is now being reissued. In addition to the CD, this is also the first time it's been released on vinyl. It includes additional tracks from the split album with BREAKfAST, which was released on KAKUBARHYTHM as a 7-inch in 2003 and immediately sold out, and was released on CD the following year on Stiffeen Records.
