Alice Phoebe Lou’s Glow is a deeply intimate collection centered on love, longing, vulnerability and self-discovery. Released in 2021, the album marked a more personal turn for the South African-born singer-songwriter, favoring emotional immediacy and raw expression over the more conceptual approach of her earlier work.

Written during a period of unexpected stillness, Glow moves through dreamy indie pop, folk, jazz and softly psychedelic textures, carried by Lou’s distinctive vocals and understated arrangements. From the tender title track and friendship ode “Dusk” to “Dirty Mouth,” “How to Get Out of Love,” “Lover / Over the Moon” and “Lovesick,” its 12 songs capture the exhilaration and vulnerability of allowing yourself to feel without reservation.
