Girlfriends is Jerry Joiner. At nineteen years old, he recorded the eponymous album "Girlfriends" (and companion album "Girlfriends (Reverse)" in 2009. The only records to his name, the albums features angular guitar, arrhythmic drumming and shouted group vocals. The recordings preserve the enduring youth, tension and pain at the center of Joiner's music.
