Geister (Original Soundtrack) [2LP]

Malakoff Kowalski & Jugglerz - Geister (Original Soundtrack) [2LP]

Inaugural release on Radyo Bombero, the new label founded by acclaimed filmmaker, author, DJ and record collector Fatih Akin. Original soundtrack to Fatih Akin's film Geister. Tracks 01-19 contain Malakoff Kowalski's complete original score -- a deliberately anachronistic and romantic tribute to Ennio Morricone's great love themes. Tracks 20-23 present four productions by the internationally successful Jugglerz, including the film's title song "Ya Mami," performed by Aya Samra, as well as Mood, Tip and Beirut Nights Riddim. The four tracks bring Arabic tarab and contemporary Levantine pop together with hip-hop, urban beats and dancehall rhythms. Malakoff Kowalski is a film composer, pianist and multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated with artists including 2raumwohnung, Igor Levit, Chilly Gonzales, and Nils Frahm. Jugglerz are an internationally successful production team with credits for RAF Camora, Luciano, Major Lazer, and Bausa's number-one hit "Was du Liebe nenns."
