Domenico Scarlatti: Complete Piano Sonatas Vol. 13 [2CD]

Christoph Ullrich – Domenico Scarlatti: Complete Piano Sonatas Vol. 13 [2CD]

Pianist Christoph Ullrich continues his years-long journey through all of Domenico Scarlatti's keyboard sonatas on a Steinway D, a project Tacet calls a pianist's Iron Man. Each double CD takes around five days to record.

Ullrich brims with ideas: he trills, plays octaves, improvises within the repeats or doesn't, and switches hands, and the music sounds as fresh at the end of the cycle as at the start. Volume 13 of the series, a 2CD set from Tacet.

Genre: Classical, Baroque, Piano.
