Cotton Crown [CD]

The Tubs - Cotton Crown [CD]

Cotton Crown is the second album from The Tubs, first released in 2025 on Trouble in Mind and now reissued by Merge Records after the band signed to the label.

It is darker and more personal than their debut. Owen Williams writes with frankness and black humour about mental health, relationships and musician life in London, and the closing song "Strange" deals with the death of his mother, the folk singer Charlotte Greig. George Nicholls' jangling guitar keeps the energy high across nine songs in about half an hour.

This is the CD edition.
