BGM [LP]

Yellow Magic Orchestra - BGM [LP]

After the global success of their technopop hits, Haruomi Hosono, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi took a darker, more experimental turn with BGM in 1981. Built around the then-new Roland TR-808, it's moody, mechanical and strikingly ahead of its time, from "Ballet" and "Rap Phenomena" to a reworked "1000 Knives" and the hypnotic "Loom".

Music on Vinyl's Dutch import is pressed on 180-gram black vinyl.
