Beyond These Shores [Green 2LP]

Iona - Beyond These Shores [Green 2LP]

Beyond These Shores is the 1993 third album from Iona, the British band who fuse progressive rock with Celtic folk and a deep spiritual streak. Inspired by the legendary voyage of St. Brendan, it moves from the hushed "Prayer on the Mountain" through the soaring "Treasure" and "Edge of the World", with Joanne Hogg's voice set against pipes, whistles, guitars and keyboards.

This limited UK import from Open Sky Records spreads the album and bonus material across two green vinyl LPs. Extras include "Beachy Head", "Machrie Moor", a 2007 remix of "Bird of Heaven" and a solo harp "Machrie Moor".
