Bandits of Stature [LP]

Harold Budd - Bandits of Stature [LP]

Bandits of Stature finds ambient pioneer Harold Budd writing for strings, with his compositions performed by The Formalist Quartet. Spare, luminous and full of quiet space, pieces like "The Dream of the Girl at the Lonely Desert Cafe" and "Nicolas Poussin Near 29 Palms" carry the same painterly calm as his work with Brian Eno and Cocteau Twins, translated into chamber music.

This limited edition vinyl from Darla Records presents all fourteen pieces on LP, a fitting format for some of the most meditative music in Budd's catalog.
