Organist Michał Kocot sets Johann Sebastian Bach's contrapuntal mastery beside Mozart's clarity and elegance in transcriptions for organ. The Bach side includes the Fugue in D minor, selections from the French Suite No. 5 and The Art of Fugue, and the Adagio from the First Sonata for Solo Violin.
Mozart is represented by works originally written for mechanical organs, including the monumental Ein Orgelstück für eine Uhr, K. 608, plus the Kyrie Fugue from the Requiem. Recorded on the historic organ of the Church of Our Lady of Candlemas in Kożuchów, on CD from DUX.
