An Indian's Life [LP]

Henri Texier - An Indian's Life [LP]

French bassist Henri Texier closes the loose trilogy he began with An Indian's Week and continued with Sky Dancers, rooted in childhood games where he always chose to play the Indians. A new septet surrounds him, including Sébastien Texier, Manu Codjia, Sylvain Rifflet and, for the first time on a Texier record, singer Himiko Paganotti, whose take on 'Black And Blue' reframed the album as a road movie of a contemporary woman's life.

Eight tracks include tributes to Charles Mingus and to Carla Bley and Steve Swallow. On vinyl LP from Label Bleu, with liner notes by Stéphane Ollivier.
