1973's Amazonas is one of the rarest efforts in Brazilian percussionist discography. Recorded at Rio De Janeiro Phonogram Studios, it is mostly a solo affair with the renowned musician playing berimbau, percussion and singing. Nana would later join Jon Hassell on his debut, Don Cherry in Codona, and Pat Metheny in As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls.
