Adrianne Lenker & Buck Meek - a-sides and besides [CD]

Adrianne Lenker and Buck Meek met the day she moved to New York, at a corner market called Mr. Kiwi, and were soon touring the country in a white conversion van named Bonnie. In 2014 they captured songs written on the road on two warm, acoustic EPs under the name Buck and Anne. Meek's off-kilter, piercing guitar sets off Lenker's stirring voice and lyrics. Before long they formed Big Thief with Max Oleartchik and James Krivchenia, and these songs give an early glimpse of what was to come.
