With Wonderful Life, Voodoo Beach deliver post-punk/noise rock at the highest level, similar to Karies, Die Nerven, Friends Of Gas, or Messer, mixing '90s noise rock influences with an obvious love of post-punk and shoegaze.

Hard hits meet guitar riffs billowing through the ether, rolling basslines, and gripping drumming. Fascinating guitar chords with a sometimes slightly Middle Eastern touch stay always in post-punk noiserock psychedelic mode. The smoky vocals of singer Heike Rödeker, whose lyrics are so honest that they hurt, are enthroned above it all. With Hendrik Otremba (Messer) and John Moods (Fenster), the band secured great guest contributions for the album.
