The third installment of Siavash Amini and Eugene Thacker's Songs for Sad Poets project pushes poetry beyond legible language. Thacker's compressed texts are sung by voices that become increasingly difficult to recognize as words—or even as human voices—until song and sound begin to collapse into one another.

Amini transforms the poetry through voice synthesis and spectral processing, layering as many as 40 synthesized voices into haunting choral environments. The result draws on the tradition of the poètes maudits while remaining diffuse, abstract and deeply physical: language becomes texture, and texture becomes atmosphere.

This LP edition is paired with a poetry chapbook by Eugene Thacker and includes a digital download card.
