Scattered, Smothered and Covered is a rarities and B-sides collection by Hootie & the Blowfish, released in 2000 and available on vinyl for the first time. The album showcases the band's love for reinterpretation, with covers ranging from Tom Waits' "I Hope That I Don't Fall in Love with You" and Led Zeppelin's "Hey Hey What Can I Do" to The Smiths' "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" and R.E.M.'s "Driver 8," proving the group's influences were as varied as their sound was accessible.

The set also includes the band's excellent cover of 54-40's "I Go Blind," which appeared on the Friends soundtrack at the height of the show's popularity. Pressed as a 2LP set complete with a Side D etching.
