Taylor Ashton presents Charades, his third solo LP, out November 6, 2026 on Birthday Cake Records. Produced and co-written by Benjamin Lazar Davis (Cuddle Magic, Okkervil River, Maya Hawke), mixed by Jacob Blumberg and mastered by Philip Shaw Bova, the album sets Ashton’s warm baritone and inventive clawhammer banjo inside jagged experimental pop and classical harmony: atmospheric short stories about fidelity, friendship, destiny, and self-deception.The guest list reads like a Brooklyn folk-scene summit: Maya Hawke, Theo Katzman (Vulfpeck), Aoife O’Donovan, and Ashton’s wife Rachael Price (Lake Street Dive) all sing on the record. “I’ve experienced Taylor Ashton’s voice as very honest… like a balm, no artifice in sight,” says Leslie Feist.
