Phill Niblock - BLK+LND / K&L for KL [LP]

Phill Niblock completed BLK+LND in late November 2023. It is one of Phill Niblock's final compositions and was commissioned by bassist Robert Black (who passed away in the summer of 2023). The piece is based on recordings of acoustic bass and bass clarinet performed by Neil Leonard and Robert Black under Niblock's direction in 2021. This album features Neil Leonard (bass clarinet), Robert Black (acoustic bass), Katie Porter (bass clarinet), and Lucio Capece (bass clarinet). No harmony. No melody.
