Take a look at the sonic landscape of club culture today and Colleen "Cosmo" Murphy stands out as one of the pioneers on many fronts. Volume 5 of the Balearic Breakfast series captures Murphy's distinctive vision. It opens with Sewell & The Gong's "Quiet Storm" and then Sakura Murakami's "Fruits of Life" brings tropical psychedelia, followed by the cosmic soul of Flayer's "Wanna Get Back Your Love." Richard Earnshaw's "Rise," featuring Roy Ayers and Ursula Rucker, leads seamlessly into the deep house rhythms of "Ore Yeye O" by Cee ElAssaad and QVLN.

Joshua Idehen's "Everything Everywhere All At Once" returns to spoken word before The Seven Ups deliver afrobeat-infused psych-rock on "A Cosmic Scale." The journey continues with a wonderfully skewed disco cut from Crooked Man and All Seeing I, before easing into Lovetempo featuring Mattison's "Wanna Be With You." The collection closes with "Transfer Station Blue," the 1984 cosmic collaboration between Michael Shrieve, Kevin Shrieve, and Klaus Schulze.
