Growing up in the wake of influential figures in Brazilian music such as Baden Powell and Aloysio De Oliveira, from the early 1960s onwards, the Brazilian guitarist Rosinha De Valenca, thanks to her skills, achieved a certain notoriety, becoming part of important groups such as Sergio Mendes' Brasil 65 and collaborating at the highest level with Brazilian artists such as Nara Leao, Maria Bethania, Joao Donato and American stars such as Henry Mancini, Sarah Vaughan and Stan Getz. Apresentado was her first album, released in 1963. A great collection of pure bossa nova dominated by her warm and virtuoso guitar.
